Often times we are faced with situations and budgetary decisions that can limit our choice of gear. Some of the time this means that the lighting department will suffer. Philip Bloom, a leader in the DSLR film maker community has asked Eve Hazelton of Realm Pictures to help show you and I how to light with minimal (expensive) professorial units and instead use lights easily found at your local hardware store. This is largely possible in part to the light sensitivity of a DSLR.
Soon I plan on writing some articles detailing how I light and overcome budget lighting challenges. I will also explain the thought process that comes with it.
